OnCo Inc. maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information consistent with applicable federal and state law, including requirements applicable to Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and nonprofit lenders. Only authorized personnel who need access to your information to perform their job functions are permitted to access it, and we require them to keep that information secure and confidential.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information when you fill out applications and forms, when you enter information on our website at www.oncocapital.org, when you respond to our communications, and when you provide us information by phone, email, or in person. We also collect information that others provide about you. This may include:

  • Name, address, email address, telephone number, and other contact information
  • Income, employment, and financial information
  • Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
  • Transaction and account history
  • Tax transcripts and IRS forms
  • Consumer reports from credit reporting agencies
  • Business ownership and organizational information
  • Government-issued identification
  • Demographic information collected for CDFI reporting and compliance purposes, including race, ethnicity, and gender, where voluntarily provided

How We Use Your Information

OnCo Inc. uses your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Evaluating and processing loan applications and providing lending services
  • Administering your account and managing transactions
  • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements, including CDFI Fund reporting obligations, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance, and fair lending laws such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
  • Conducting business research, analysis, and impact measurement
  • Communicating with you about your account, services, and educational resources
  • Preventing fraud and protecting the security of our systems
  • As otherwise required or permitted by law
  • OnCo Inc. does not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. All personal data is governed by the strongest NIST and/or SOC 2 compliance protocols.

Sharing Your Information

OnCo Inc. may share your personal information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as loan processing, technology, data analysis, and compliance support. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.

Affiliated Entities

OnCo Inc. is affiliated with Loan Mantra, a technology-enabled lending platform. We may share information with Loan Mantra in connection with the origination, underwriting, or servicing of loans, and to facilitate the capital continuum — the pathway from OnCo financing to broader lending programs. Any such sharing is subject to applicable privacy protections.

Regulatory and Government Reporting

As a CDFI and nonprofit lender, OnCo Inc. is required to report certain transaction and demographic data to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s CDFI Fund, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and other regulatory bodies. This reporting may include loan-level data and borrower demographic information, which is used for community development impact measurement and fair lending oversight. Personal identifying information is protected in accordance with applicable law.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your personal information as required by law, including in response to subpoenas, court orders, regulatory inquiries, or to prevent fraud or protect the safety of individuals.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of OnCo Inc.’s assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy protections.

We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated companies for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

Loan records and related documentation are retained in accordance with applicable federal and state recordkeeping requirements.

Cookies and Online Tracking

Our website at www.oncocapital.org may use cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience, analyze site traffic, and support our services. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features of our website may not function properly if you do so. We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal or financial information.

Children’s Privacy
